Free UK delivery/Business quotes and proforma invoices/12-month warranty/30-day returns

On site, the app is the job list and the job record. A technician opens a job card, moves it through the statuses the company has configured (On My Way, Started, On hold, Completed, Closed), fills in the checklists or inspection forms tied to a task or a status change, adds notes with photos, video, audio, documents or scans, captures a signature in a checklist, collects a payment against an invoice where the role allows it, and punches in and out for attendance with location permission on. A Scan shortcut reads job QR codes, asset tags and equipment barcodes through the camera and pulls up asset details or starts an inventory transaction. Offline mode, once the Zuper team has switched it on for the company, caches assigned jobs and their related records and queues status updates, notes and checklist changes until coverage returns.

This page sets out what Zuper publishes about the devices its app runs on, which Tuga rugged Android devices meet the published Android requirement and with how much headroom, what the Tuga W10 can do through a browser, and how a UK firm can try one unit before equipping a team. Nothing here claims the app has been tested on a Tuga device; the vendor publishes requirements, the catalogue publishes specs, and the trial is yours to run.

Requirements

What Zuper needs from a device

Each item below comes from Zuper, Inc.'s own listing or documentation, with the source linked.

  • Android app: Android 8.0 (Oreo) minimum, from Google Play

The Device Requirements page in the vendor's documentation (undated when we read it on 25 October 2026) states Minimum Android version: Android 8.0 (Oreo), tells users to ensure it is at least version Android 8.0 Oreo for the best experience, and to keep the device on the latest Android version. Two older help centre articles give lower figures, Android 7 (Nougat) in one and Android 6 or above in a 2023 article that also says all devices running Google Play Services are compatible and does not recommend Huawei devices without Google Play Services; the floor has moved up twice, so plan on the documentation figure. No RAM, storage, processor or screen size requirement is published for Android, and nothing is said about Android tablet layouts. For context, the same page gives iOS 17.0 or later as the iOS minimum. Source: docs.zuper.co

  • Google Play listing: Zuper - Field Service App, developer Zuper Inc, updated 19 October 2026

The current Android app is published on Google Play as Zuper - Field Service App (package co.zuper.android, developer Zuper Inc), showing more than 10,000 downloads and an update on 19 October 2026 when we checked on 25 October 2026. The listing did not display a Requires Android figure or device chips in our check, so the documentation page above is the published minimum. The vendor's Installing Zuper page says this is the current, latest mobile application and that the older Zuper Pro Mobile App is no longer the latest; the install article still gives the older package name com.zuperpro.android.employee, so search the store by name rather than by package. The vendor's Android optimisation article adds that the Zuper App is not supported on Google and Chromebook devices. Source: play.google.com

  • Offline mode: switched on per company by Zuper, then enabled in the app, with a one-day priming window

The vendor's Using Zuper Offline documentation says the customer must request that the Zuper team enable the offline feature for their account, after which the user turns on Cache data for offline usage under Settings, Configuration, Offline mode, and the app shows Ready for offline usage once the data has downloaded. The app primes data for each field technician based on the user's assigned jobs in a window of three days either side of today, with the related customers, organisations, assets, properties, contracts, parts and services, and the routes for those jobs; offline data is primed locally for a maximum of 1 day, after which it is invalidated and must be refreshed in coverage. Status updates, checklists, timers, notes and attachments work offline and sync in the background; jobs cannot be accepted or rejected offline, quotes and invoices are not supported offline, chat and notifications do not work, and attachments already on a record are not cached. A separate help article says a job must be scheduled within 7 days from the current date for its service tasks to be accessed offline. The Quickstart guide warns not to force-close the app or restart the device while uploads are pending. Source: docs.zuper.co

  • Camera access for the Scan shortcut, photos and attachments up to 20 MB each

The Quickstart guide for field engineers says the Scan quick action reads job QR codes, asset tags or equipment barcodes after camera access is granted, and the help centre article on the Scan shortcut says to align the barcode in the frame to get the details: for an asset the app shows the asset code, owner, purchase date, placed-in-service date, warranty expiry and useful life, and for parts it starts an inward transaction with a product location, quantity, remarks and serial number. Notes can carry photos, video, audio, documents, text or scans, with a maximum file size per attachment of 20 MB and up to five attachments per note. Scanning is through the camera via the app; the vendor documents no dedicated scan engine or external scanner support. Source: docs.zuper.co

  • Location permission for attendance and travel time; battery optimisation off for the app

The Quickstart guide says location permission is needed for accurate attendance when punching in and out, and that Timelog, if enabled, can track travel time from the On My Way status. The vendor's Android optimisation article tells users to exclude the app from battery optimisation (Settings, Apps, Zuper, Battery, Battery Optimization, Don't Optimize), to lock the app in Recent Apps on Samsung devices so it keeps running in the background, and to keep Android updated. The Quickstart guide also describes an SOS action that sends an SMS with the technician's name, number and location to a configured contact, which needs a SIM. Source: care.zuper.co

  • Signatures captured in a checklist on the mobile app

The help centre says a signature component can be added to a job checklist, that on mobile tapping the Signature Capture icon prompts the user to capture the signature on the device before submitting the checklist, and that on the web version the user selects a signature file instead. A separate article describes previewing the job card PDF before the customer signs. The vendor does not say whether a stylus or a finger is expected. Source: care.zuper.co

  • Web app: Chrome 131, Firefox 126, Edge 127 or Safari 17.4 or later

The Installing Zuper page gives these browser minimums for the web application, which is where the office, scheduling and reporting side runs. It states no Windows version, RAM or storage figure; a Windows device that runs a current Chrome or Edge meets it. The mobile app itself is published for Android and iOS only. Source: docs.zuper.co

Devices

Which Tuga device fits Zuper

Picked on the published requirements above and nothing else.

Our pick

Tuga A8 £379

The published Android requirement is Android 8.0 with the app from Google Play, and the Tuga A8 runs Android 12 with Google Play, four versions above the floor and clear of the two earlier figures the vendor has published. Zuper's field work is a job card, a status change, a checklist, notes with photos and a signature drawn on the screen, which fit an 8 inch screen that can still be held in one hand. The 1000 nit screen stays readable on a roof or a forecourt, the 13MP autofocus rear camera with flash is the path for the Scan shortcut and for job photos, GPS puts the technician on the map for attendance and travel time, and dual SIM 4G keeps the device synced so offline mode has a fresh one-day prime to work from and the SOS text can go. The removable 8000mAh battery means a charged spare takes over on a long day with the app excluded from battery optimisation, and VESA mount points and pogo pin contacts let it live in the vehicle mounting dock. It is IP67 with no MIL-STD rating listed, so where immersion or hard drops are the bigger risk the A10 is the tougher choice. At £379 it is £70 less than the A10. The vendor publishes nothing about Android tablet layouts, so run the app on one unit before buying for a team.

  • Requirement: Android 8.0 or later from Google Play. Tuga A8: Android 12 with Google Play, four versions above the floor.
  • Requirement: camera for the Scan shortcut, photos and attachments. Tuga A8: 13MP autofocus rear camera with flash (scanning is through the camera via the app; there is no dedicated scan engine).
  • Requirement: location permission for attendance and travel time. Tuga A8: GPS, GLONASS, Galileo and BeiDou.
  • Requirement: a synced device for the one-day offline prime, and a SIM for the SOS text. Tuga A8: 4G LTE with dual SIM, plus Wi-Fi.
  • Requirement: checklists, notes and a signature drawn on screen. Tuga A8: 8 inch IPS 1280 x 800 at 1000 nits with AGC glass, 6GB RAM, 128GB storage with a microSD slot; the capacitive stylus accessory fits it.
  • Requirement: a device that lives in the van between jobs. Tuga A8: VESA mount points, pogo pin dock connector, removable 8000mAh battery, IP67.
Alternative

Tuga A10 £449

The Tuga A10 runs Android 14 with Google Play, six versions above the published floor, and brings 8GB of RAM, 128GB of storage with a microSD slot up to 2TB, a 10.1 inch Full HD screen, IP68 sealing and MIL-STD-810H testing. It suits the technician who fills in long inspection forms, reads drawings alongside the job, or works in plant rooms and on wet sites where IP67 is not enough. The 13MP rear camera with flash covers the Scan shortcut and photos, dual SIM 4G keeps the prime fresh, and the pogo pin connector takes the charging dock and the vehicle mounting dock. The trade-offs are the 350 nit screen, which is dimmer than the A8 outdoors, a battery that is not listed as removable, 680g in the hand, and £70 more at £449.

  • Requirement: Android 8.0 or later from Google Play. Tuga A10: Android 14 with Google Play.
  • Requirement: camera for scanning and attachments up to 20 MB. Tuga A10: 13MP rear camera with flash, 128GB storage, microSD up to 2TB.
  • Requirement: location for attendance and travel time. Tuga A10: GPS, Galileo, BeiDou, QZSS and NavIC.
  • Requirement: sync for the offline prime. Tuga A10: 4G dual SIM, dual-band Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.2.
  • Requirement: inspection forms and signatures on screen. Tuga A10: 10.1 inch FHD IPS 1920 x 1200 with tempered glass, 8GB RAM; the capacitive stylus fits it.
  • Requirement: a device that survives plant rooms and vans. Tuga A10: IP68, MIL-STD-810H, -20 to 60C operating temperature, 8000mAh battery with quick charge, pogo pin connector.
Alternative

Tuga A6 £349

The Tuga A6 runs Android 15 with Google Play, seven versions above the floor, in a 277g handheld sealed to IP67 and rated for 1.5 metre drops, with a removable 5050mAh battery, dual SIM 4G, GPS and a 13MP rear camera with flash for the Scan shortcut and photos. It suits a technician who wants the job list, status updates, photos and a punch in and out in a pocket rather than a tablet in the van, at £349. It also has a Zebra 2D scan engine with two side scan keys, but Zuper documents scanning through the camera only, so do not count on the engine feeding the app. The 6 inch screen is small for long checklists, the stylus accessory is not listed for it so signatures are by finger, and the battery is the smallest in the range.

  • Requirement: Android 8.0 or later from Google Play. Tuga A6: Android 15 with Google Play.
  • Requirement: camera for scanning and photos. Tuga A6: 13MP rear camera with flash on a 6 inch FHD+ 2160 x 1080 screen.
  • Requirement: location for attendance. Tuga A6: GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou and Galileo.
  • Requirement: sync and the SOS text. Tuga A6: 4G LTE dual SIM, dual-band Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.1.
  • Requirement: a device carried all day. Tuga A6: 277g, IP67, 1.5 metre drop rating, -20 to 50C, removable 5050mAh battery, belt holster and car phone mount available.
Alternative

Tuga W10 £649

For the office side only. The Tuga W10 runs Windows 11 Pro on an Intel N100 with 8GB of RAM and a 10.1 inch screen, so a current Chrome or Edge on it meets the published browser minimums for the Zuper web application: scheduling, dispatch and reporting on a device that can be docked at a desk or wired in with its RJ45 Ethernet port. It does not run the Android mobile app, so the Scan shortcut, offline mode, attendance and the technician job flow are not available on it; a W10 is a supervisor's or a site office device, not a technician's, and at £649 it is £270 more than the A8.

  • Requirement: Chrome 131, Edge 127 or later for the web app. Tuga W10: Windows 11 Pro on an Intel N100, 8GB RAM, 128GB storage, 10.1 inch IPS 1280 x 800.
  • Requirement: a connection in a site office. Tuga W10: 100Mbps RJ45 Ethernet, dual-band Wi-Fi 5, optional 4G LTE.
  • Requirement: a shared office device charged for the next shift. Tuga W10: pogo pin dock connector for the charging dock, removable 5000mAh battery.
  • Not met: the Android mobile app, the Scan shortcut, offline mode and attendance, which the vendor documents for Android and iOS only.
Worth knowing. The Tuga W10 is not recommended as a technician's device for Zuper. The vendor publishes its mobile app for Android and iOS only and documents the Scan shortcut, offline mode, attendance and the job flow for the mobile app, so a Windows device can only run the web application in a browser; the same applies to the Tuga W8 and WH6. On Android, the vendor's own pages disagree on the minimum: the documentation says Android 8.0, an older help centre article says Android 7 and a 2023 article says Android 6, so plan on 8.0 and expect it to rise again. The vendor says the app is not supported on Chromebook devices, publishes no RAM, storage or screen size figure, nothing about Android tablet layouts, and no dedicated scan engine or external scanner support, so the A6's Zebra 2D scan engine is not a documented Zuper input. Offline mode exists only when the Zuper team has enabled it for your company, and quotes and invoices are not supported offline. Zuper does not name Tuga devices, and we do not describe any device as certified or tested by Zuper.
Setting up

Getting Zuper running

  1. Ask your Zuper administrator for your company name, email and password, and ask them to request offline mode for the company from the Zuper team if technicians will work without coverage, because the vendor says only the Zuper team can switch it on.
  2. On the Tuga A8, A10 or A6, open Google Play, search for Zuper - Field Service App (developer Zuper Inc) and install it; the vendor says this is the current app and that the older Zuper Pro app is no longer the latest. Open it, enter the company name, then your email and password.
  3. Allow camera access when the app asks, so the Scan shortcut and photo notes work, and allow location access, which the vendor says is needed for accurate attendance and for travel time from the On My Way status. Fit a data SIM before the first job: the offline prime lasts a day and the SOS text needs a network.
  4. Follow the vendor's Android checks: exclude the app from battery optimisation (Settings, Apps, Zuper, Battery, Battery Optimization, Don't Optimize) and keep Android updated. If offline mode has been enabled, turn it on under Settings, Configuration, Offline Mode and wait for Ready for offline usage before leaving coverage.
  5. Before relying on it, run the field flows on the device: open a job card, move it through your statuses, complete a checklist with a signature capture, add a note with photos, scan an asset tag with the Scan shortcut, and punch in and out, so you know how the layout sits on an 8 or 10 inch screen; the vendor publishes nothing about Android tablet layouts.
  6. On a Tuga W10, open the Zuper web application in a current Chrome or Edge for scheduling and reporting; it will not run the mobile app. For the A8 and A10, fit the vehicle mounting dock and a 12V car charger; for the A10 and W10, add the charging dock where devices live overnight; for the A6, add the belt holster or the car phone mount. Fit the tempered glass screen protector before the device goes out on site.

Questions

Zuper on a Tuga device

The vendor's documentation publishes one Android requirement: Android 8.0 (Oreo) as the minimum, with the app from Google Play. The Tuga A8 runs Android 12 with Google Play, so it meets it, and so do the A10 (Android 14) and the A6 (Android 15). The vendor publishes no RAM, storage or screen size figure for Android and nothing about Android tablet layouts. We do not describe any device as certified or tested by Zuper; these are the vendor's published requirements set against the device specifications, so try the app on one unit before buying for a team.

The vendor's Installing Zuper page says the Zuper Field Service App is the current, latest mobile application and that the older Zuper Pro Mobile App is no longer the latest. On Google Play the current app is listed as Zuper - Field Service App by Zuper Inc, updated on 19 October 2026 when we checked. Some help centre articles still carry Zuper Pro in their titles, and the install article still links the older package, so search the store by name.

Yes, within published limits, and only once the Zuper team has enabled offline mode for your company. The app then caches your assigned jobs for three days either side of today with their related records and routes, and status updates, checklists, timers, notes and attachments queue and sync in the background. The prime lasts a maximum of one day before it must be refreshed in coverage, jobs cannot be accepted or rejected offline, quotes and invoices are not supported offline, and chat and notifications stop. The A8, A10 and A6 all have dual SIM 4G, so a data SIM keeps the prime fresh between Wi-Fi networks.

Zuper documents scanning through the device camera: the Scan shortcut reads job QR codes, asset tags and equipment barcodes after camera access is granted, and pulls up asset details or starts an inventory transaction. The A8, A10 and A6 all have a 13MP rear camera with flash, and on each of them scanning runs through the camera via the app. The A6 also has a Zebra 2D scan engine with side scan keys, but the vendor documents no dedicated scan engine or external scanner support, so do not buy the A6 for that reason alone.

Yes to both. A single trial unit before a fleet order is welcome, and with Zuper it is the sensible route because the vendor publishes nothing about Android tablet layouts. Business buyers can request a quote and pay by bank transfer on a proforma invoice. Tuga Hardware is the trading name of Destello Tech Ltd and is not VAT registered, so there is no VAT to add to the £379 (A8), £449 (A10), £349 (A6) or £649 (W10) prices. Delivery is free within the UK in 7 to 10 working days, UK only, with 30-day returns and a 12-month warranty. Team discounts apply automatically: 3% at 2 devices, 5% at 3 to 4, 8% at 5 to 9 and 10% at 10 or more.

Trial one unit before you kit out the team.
