Free UK delivery/Business quotes and proforma invoices/12-month warranty/30-day returns

The mobile app is where the site work happens. The vendor's Google Play listing says fieldworkers manage assigned work from their phones or tablets, fill in forms and checklists, capture notes, images and signatures, track time and expenses, take payments and share their GPS location with the office. Its help centre says forms work offline and sync back when a connection returns, that assets are found by scanning a QR code in the app and stock items by scanning a barcode with the device camera, and that fieldworker tracking runs in the background once the app is installed. That is a device that lives in a van, gets handed to a customer for a signature and spends its day in loft spaces, plant rooms and on wet roofs, which is where a consumer tablet with a glass back and no sealing tends to fail early.

This page sets out what Workever publishes about the devices its app runs on, including where the vendor publishes no figure at all, which Tuga rugged tablets fit that published picture, where the Windows option fits and where it does not, and how a UK firm can buy a single trial unit before committing to a fleet.

Requirements

What Workever needs from a device

Each item below comes from Workforce GLB Ltd (trading as Workever)'s own listing or documentation, with the source linked.

  • Android app from Google Play; no minimum Android version published by the vendor

The Android app is published on Google Play as Workever (package com.workever.appV2, developer Workforce GLB LTD, with a London E15 address and support@workever.com on the listing). When checked on 19 October 2026 the listing showed Updated on 6 October 2026, 5k+ downloads, a PEGI 3 content rating with the notes Users interact and Shares location, and a Phone device chip. Workever publishes no system requirements page and no minimum Android version, RAM or storage figure anywhere on workever.com or its help centre. The Requires Android figure sits in the listing's About this app panel, which did not load in our check; a third-party mirror of the listing (APKPure) gives Android 7.0 or higher for version 1.5.10, but treat that as unconfirmed by the vendor. For context, the App Store listing publishes iOS 15.1 or later and iPadOS 15.1 or later. Source: play.google.com

  • Runs on phones and tablets, full and limited versions

The help centre's download article says the fieldworker apps are for Android phones, iPhones, iPads and tablets, and links to the Google Play and App Store listings. The Google Play description says fieldworkers manage work from their phones or tablets, and the App Store listing is marked Designed for iPad. There are two app roles, a full version (Fieldworker Full and Field Manager) and a limited version (Fieldworker Limited) that can view and update jobs but not amend them; both run in the same app. The vendor publishes no screen-size guidance and no separate tablet layout notes, though an App Store release note in 2025 mentions improved tablet visuals. • Offline working for forms, with sync when the connection returns

The help centre article on filling in a form says forms also work offline, meaning that without an active internet connection a fieldworker can still fill forms in, and the data syncs back to the web app once the connection returns. The features page lists Works offline without internet connection under the Fieldworker App, and the mobile management page says data is synced back as soon as the device is online again. The vendor does not publish which other screens work offline, how much data is cached on the device, or how long a job takes to reach a device after it is scheduled. The app's Refresh button is the documented manual sync. Source: help.workever.com

  • QR codes on assets and barcodes on stock items, scanned with the device camera

The help centre documents two scan paths in the mobile app. For assets, More then Assets has a Scan QR code button that opens the asset's profile, and a QR code can be assigned to an asset when it is created. For stock, the barcodes article says to scan the barcode attached to the stock item using your device camera, and the Cost List screen has a Scan barcode button that opens the matching stock item. No support for a dedicated hardware scan engine or an external scanner is documented, and no barcode symbologies are listed, so on any device the scan path is the camera. Source: help.workever.com

  • Photos, documents and customer signatures on the job

The full version navigation guide says the Files screen on a job lets a fieldworker upload photographs, upload documents or obtain a customer signature, and that changing the job status to Complete updates the office system. Forms can be added to a job from the Android app by Fieldworker Full and Field Manager roles, and are then filled in section by section, with mandatory fields marked and a section marked complete once filled. The forms feature page says the customer's signature is collected on the mobile form and the completed form can be downloaded, printed or emailed from inside Workever. The vendor publishes no photo resolution or file size limits. Source: help.workever.com

  • Background fieldworker tracking and location services

The scheduler map article says that once fieldworkers install the Android or iOS app it tracks their location in the background while they work, that the office sees each fieldworker's last tracked position, and that the position updates on a significant location change, which it defines as moving more than 500 metres. Each fieldworker can turn tracking off in their device settings, and a separate On my way feature can send customers a link to the fieldworker's location. The Google Play description warns that continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life. The vendor publishes no location accuracy or GNSS hardware requirement; the app also uses the device's current location for Get directions to a site. Source: help.workever.com

  • Windows: no Windows app, web app in Chrome or Firefox

Workever publishes no Windows app. The office product is the web app, and the help centre's Recommended Browsers article (dated 21 September 2020) names Google Chrome as first choice and Firefox as second, and says Workever is tested and supported extensively on only these two browsers because not all browsers can run its full set of features. No browser version numbers are published. The help centre says forms added to a job can be filled in on the mobile app or the browser-based web app, but offline working, camera scanning, background tracking and on-device signature capture are documented for the mobile app only. Devices

Which Tuga device fits Workever

Picked on the published requirements above and nothing else.

Our pick

Tuga A10 £449

Workever's fieldworker features (forms and checklists, photos, signatures, camera QR and barcode scanning, offline forms and background tracking) live in the Android app, so the device a fieldworker carries needs to run that app well rather than a browser. Workever publishes no minimum Android version or RAM figure, so the choice comes down to the app being current on Google Play and the work it describes. The Tuga A10 runs Android 14 with Google Play, has 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, and its 10.1 inch 1920 x 1200 screen shows more of a multi-section form at once than the 8 or 6 inch options, which also helps when a customer signs on screen. The vendor's download article names tablets alongside phones, and its Play description says phones or tablets. The IP68 and MIL-STD-810H ratings cover rain on a roof, dust in a plant room and drops from a ladder, the 13MP rear camera with flash is the scan and photo path the help centre documents, and it has GPS for the tracking the vendor describes. It fits both the charging dock and the vehicle mounting dock.

  • Requirement: the Workever Android app from Google Play (no minimum Android version published). Tuga A10: Android 14 with Google Play, which is a current release well above the Android 7.0 figure a third-party mirror lists.
  • Requirement: no RAM or storage figure published, so headroom is the sensible target. Tuga A10: 8GB RAM and 128GB storage, with microSD up to 2TB for photos and documents.
  • Requirement: QR code asset scanning and barcode stock scanning through the device camera, plus job photos. Tuga A10: 13MP rear camera with flash (scanning is through the camera via the app; there is no dedicated scan engine).
  • Requirement: multi-section forms and customer signatures on screen, on a phone or tablet. Tuga A10: 10.1 inch FHD IPS 1920 x 1200 at 350 nits with tempered glass; the capacitive stylus accessory fits it.
  • Requirement: background location tracking and a device that keeps working with or without signal. Tuga A10: GPS + Galileo + BeiDou + QZSS + NavIC, dual SIM 4G, 8000mAh battery with quick charge, IP68, MIL-STD-810H, operating temperature -20 to 60C.
Alternative

Tuga A8 £379

The Tuga A8 is the closer call. It runs the same Workever Android app on an 8 inch screen that is big enough for job forms without the size of the A10, and small enough to hold in one hand up a ladder. It runs Android 12 with Google Play and has 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, against a vendor that publishes no minimum for either. Its 1000 nit screen suits fieldworkers who spend much of the day outside, the 8000mAh battery is removable for long days with background tracking running, and VESA mount points and a pogo pin connector suit a van fit. Against the A10 it is sealed to IP67 rather than IP68, has no MIL-STD rating, a lower 1280 x 800 resolution, and does not fit the charging dock. At £379 it costs £70 less than the A10.

  • Requirement: the Workever Android app from Google Play (no minimum Android version published). Tuga A8: Android 12 with Google Play.
  • Requirement: no RAM or storage figure published. Tuga A8: 6GB RAM and 128GB storage with a microSD slot.
  • Requirement: camera QR code and barcode scanning and photo capture. Tuga A8: 13MP autofocus rear camera with flash (scanning is through the camera via the app; there is no dedicated scan engine).
  • Requirement: readable job forms and signature capture outdoors. Tuga A8: 8 inch IPS 1280 x 800 at 1000 nits with AGC glass; the capacitive stylus accessory fits it.
  • Requirement: background tracking on a long day between van and site. Tuga A8: removable 8000mAh battery, GPS + GLONASS + Galileo + BeiDou, dual SIM 4G, IP67 with no MIL-STD rating, VESA mount points, pogo pin dock connector.
Alternative

Tuga A6 £349

For fieldworkers who want something that goes in a pocket or a belt holster at 277g, the Tuga A6 runs the same Workever Android app on a 6 inch handheld, and the Google Play listing carries a Phone device chip, so a phone-sized layout is one the vendor publishes for. It runs Android 15, the newest release in the range, with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage; the vendor publishes no minimum for either, so run a trial unit with your own forms before buying for a team. It has a Zebra 2D scan engine, but Workever documents camera scanning only, so plan on the 13MP rear camera for QR codes on assets and barcodes on stock. The trade-off is screen area: a 6 inch display shows less of a long multi-section form or a signature box than the larger tablets.

  • Requirement: the Workever Android app from Google Play, with a Phone device chip on the listing. Tuga A6: Android 15 with Google Play on a 6 inch handheld.
  • Requirement: no RAM or storage figure published. Tuga A6: 4GB RAM and 64GB storage with microSD up to 256GB.
  • Requirement: camera QR code and barcode scanning and photo capture. Tuga A6: 13MP rear camera with flash (scanning through the camera via the app; the Zebra 2D scan engine is not a documented Workever input).
  • Requirement: a device that survives site use and drops. Tuga A6: IP67, 1.5 metre drop rating, operating temperature -20 to 50C, 277g.
  • Requirement: background tracking and connectivity for sync. Tuga A6: GPS + GLONASS + BeiDou + Galileo, 4G LTE dual SIM, dual-band Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.1, removable 5050mAh battery.
Alternative

Tuga W10 £649

Workever has no Windows app. The Tuga W10 runs Windows 11 Pro, so it can run the Workever web app in Chrome or Firefox, the two browsers the vendor says it tests and supports. That makes it a fit for a scheduler's desk, a site office or a workshop counter, where the drag and drop scheduler, invoicing and the form builder live, and it has Ethernet and HDMI for a fixed position. It is not the device for a fieldworker: the offline forms, camera scanning, background tracking and on-device signatures the vendor documents are in the mobile app, which does not run on Windows, and the W10 is IP65 rather than IP68, so it is protected against water jets but not rated for immersion.

  • Requirement: the web app in Google Chrome (first choice) or Firefox (second choice). Tuga W10: Windows 11 Pro running standard desktop browsers.
  • Requirement: office scheduling, invoicing and the form builder in the web app. Tuga W10: Intel N100 up to 3.4GHz, 8GB RAM, 128GB storage, 10.1 inch 1280 x 800 multi-touch screen.
  • Requirement: a fixed position in a site office or workshop. Tuga W10: 100Mbps RJ45 Ethernet, HDMI, USB-A, USB-C, pogo pin dock connector, removable 5000mAh battery; fits the charging dock.
  • Requirement: dust and splash protection. Tuga W10: IP65 (dust tight, protected against water jets, not rated for immersion), 1197g.
Worth knowing. Workever has no Windows app, so the Tuga W10 only runs the web app in a browser, and the vendor says it tests and supports only Chrome and Firefox. The fieldworker features the vendor documents (offline forms, camera QR and barcode scanning, background tracking, photos and on-device signatures) are in the mobile app, so a W10 suits an office or workshop desk, not a fieldworker on site. On the Android side, Workever publishes no minimum Android version, RAM or storage figure, no screen-size guidance and no system requirements page; the Android 7.0 figure on this page comes from a third-party mirror of the Google Play listing, not from the vendor. The only scan method the vendor documents is the camera, so the A6's Zebra 2D scan engine is not a documented Workever input. The vendor publishes no NFC or RFID support, so the NFC radio on the A10, A8 and A6 should not be treated as a Workever feature. Background tracking is described from the office side, with updates on moves of more than 500 metres; the vendor does not publish what location accuracy it needs from a device.
Setting up

Getting Workever running

  1. Ask your Workever administrator to add the fieldworker as a staff member with the Fieldworker Full, Field Manager or Fieldworker Limited role, and to check the Fieldworker App settings under Settings, Work settings, so the right job details show on the device.
  2. On the Tuga A10, A8 or A6, open Google Play and install Workever (package com.workever.appV2, developer Workforce GLB LTD), then sign in with the fieldworker's email and password and set the four-digit PIN the app asks for.
  3. Allow camera and location access when prompted. The camera is the documented path for QR codes on assets and barcodes on stock items, and location is needed for Get directions and for the background fieldworker tracking the scheduler map uses.
  4. Decide on tracking with the team. The vendor says each fieldworker can turn tracking off in device settings, and its Google Play listing warns that GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life, so on long days plan around the A10's 8000mAh battery or a spare for the A8 or A6.
  5. Before the first job without signal, open the app online and press Refresh so the day's jobs and their forms are on the device. The vendor documents offline working for forms; it does not publish what else is cached, so test a full job offline, including photos and a signature, before relying on it.
  6. Add forms to a test job, scan a QR code against an asset already set up in Workever, complete the job with a photo and a customer signature, and check it all arrives in the web app before rolling out to the team.
  7. On a Tuga W10, open the Workever web app in Chrome or Firefox, the two browsers the vendor supports, and keep the browser updated. Use it for office work; it will not run the mobile app.
  8. For the A10 and A8, fit the vehicle mounting dock in the van; for the A10 and W10, add the charging dock where devices live overnight; for the A6, add the belt holster. Fit the tempered glass screen protector before the device goes out.

Questions

Workever on a Tuga device

Workever publishes no minimum Android version, RAM or storage figure; its Android app is on Google Play as a current release (updated 6 October 2026 when we checked) for phones or tablets, and a third-party mirror of the listing gives Android 7.0 or higher. The Tuga A10 runs Android 14 with Google Play and has 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. The Tuga A8 (Android 12, 6GB RAM) and Tuga A6 (Android 15, 4GB RAM) also run Google Play. We do not describe any device as certified or tested by Workever; these are the vendor's published statements set against the device specifications, and a single trial unit is the honest way to confirm your own forms and workflow.

The vendor's help centre says forms work offline, so a fieldworker without an active internet connection can still fill them in, and the data syncs back to the web app when the connection returns. Its features page lists Works offline without internet connection for the fieldworker app. The vendor does not publish which other screens are available offline or how much is cached, so open the app online and press Refresh before heading somewhere without signal. The A10, A8 and A6 all run the Google Play app. A Tuga W10 can only use the web app in a browser, and the vendor does not document offline working there.

Yes to scanning. Workever's help centre documents a Scan QR code button under More, Assets that opens an asset's profile, and a Scan barcode button on the Cost List that opens a stock item, scanned with the device camera. The A10, A8 and A6 all have a 13MP rear camera with flash, and on each of them scanning runs through the camera via the app. The A6 also has a Zebra 2D scan engine, but the vendor documents no dedicated scan engine or external scanner support, so do not buy it for that reason alone.

Workever publishes no screen-size guidance, and both run the same app. The A10 has more RAM (8GB against 6GB), a sharper 1920 x 1200 screen for multi-section forms and signatures, IP68 against IP67, and MIL-STD-810H, which the A8 does not have. The A8 has a 1000 nit screen against the A10's 350 nits, a removable battery, which matters if background tracking is on all day, VESA mount points, and costs £379 against £449. Fieldworkers who mostly work outdoors or do long days away from a charger may prefer the A8; those filling in long forms or working in wetter, harder conditions are better served by the A10.

Yes to both. A single trial unit before a fleet order is welcome. Business buyers can request a quote and pay by bank transfer on a proforma invoice. Tuga Hardware is the trading name of Destello Tech Ltd and is not VAT registered, so there is no VAT to add to the £449 (A10), £379 (A8), £349 (A6) or £649 (W10) prices. Delivery is free within the UK in 7 to 10 working days, UK only, with 30-day returns and a 12-month warranty. Multi-unit discounts apply automatically: 3% at 2 units, 5% at 3 to 4, 8% at 5 to 9 and 10% at 10 or more.

Workever is a product of Workforce GLB Ltd. Tuga Hardware is an independent hardware seller and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Workever or Workforce GLB Ltd.
