Free UK delivery/Business quotes and proforma invoices/12-month warranty/30-day returns

On site, the app is the job centre and the job report. Technicians see today's, upcoming, late and completed jobs, get driving directions and one-touch calling, start a job or a travel activity from the Start button, fill in the interactive job report, and the vendor says they can capture signatures, photos, barcodes and parts and services usage in it. Parts can be restocked, requested and transferred from a technician's own inventory, an invoice can be raised and paid by card through Stripe before leaving, and the finished report can be previewed and saved as a PDF on the device. The vendor's marketing makes a point of the offline mode: an onboard database that keeps the app fully functional whatever the network coverage, with the switch to offline made automatically.

This page sets out what Synchroteam publishes about the devices its app runs on, which Tuga rugged Android devices meet the published Android requirement and with how much headroom, what the Tuga W10 can and cannot do through the browser, and how a UK firm can try one unit before equipping a team. Nothing here claims the app has been tested on a Tuga device; the vendor publishes requirements, the catalogue publishes specs, and the trial is yours to run.

Requirements

What Synchroteam needs from a device

Each item below comes from Synchroteam Inc.'s own listing or documentation, with the source linked.

  • Android app: Android 12 or later, from Google Play

The help centre article Download the Mobile Application (last updated 30 September 2025) says mobile clients are available for Android and iOS and that the app can be installed if your device has at least the Version 10.1 of iOS or the Version 12 of Android. The Android link on that page goes to Google Play, where the app is published as Synchroteam (package com.synchroteam.synchroteam3, developer SYNCHROTEAM), showing more than 10,000 downloads and an update on 14 September 2026 when we checked on 25 October 2026. The listing's own minimum Android field was not displayed in our check, so the help centre figure is the one to plan on; an older copy of the same help centre article gave Android 8, which shows the floor has moved up once already. No RAM, storage, processor or screen size requirement is published for Android, and neither the help centre nor the listing says anything about Android tablet layouts. For context, the App Store listing says the iOS app needs iOS 15.0 or later and is designed for iPad. Source: support.synchroteam.com

  • One mobile device per mobile worker licence

The pricing page says licences are per user login and that for mobile workers the licence includes access from one device. The help centre article on the error message You cannot use multiple devices with a single account explains what happens when a second device logs in with the same credentials: it becomes the owner of the account and the first device can no longer synchronise, and the documented reset procedure wipes any data on the device that has not synced. For a team this means one device per technician login, and a shared pool of devices needs a plan for who logs in where. Source: support.synchroteam.com

  • Offline working through an onboard database, with sync when coverage returns

The vendor's mobile app page says the application offers an off-line mode that allows you to continue working even when you lose connectivity, that off-line mode is triggered automatically based on network availability, and that the mobile clients use an onboard enterprise database and remain fully functional whatever the quality of your network coverage, with data encryption and transactional integrity maintained when the connection is lost. The Google Play description repeats this. No figure is published for how much job data is held on the device or how long it can run disconnected, and features that talk to third parties, such as card payment through Stripe, need a connection at the point of use. • Camera for photos, signatures on screen, and barcode capture in the job report

The Add and Annotate pictures article (updated 29 August 2024) says a technician can attach photos, images or scans to a job report from the gallery, the camera or a scan, then draw and write on them before saving, and a separate article covers uploading a large amount of pictures. The mobile app page and the Play description say job reports capture signatures, photos, barcodes and parts and services usage, and the Inventory Management (Mobile) article (updated 29 April 2026) covers serialised and unserialised parts, restocking and returns from the technician's own inventory. The vendor documents no dedicated scan engine, external scanner or NFC reading, so on a Tuga device the documented barcode path is the camera, and the help centre's Signature control option deletes the technician's and customer's signatures if the report changes after signing. Downloading all job photos from the back office gallery is described by the vendor as a paid option. Source: support.synchroteam.com

  • GPS permission and background data for travel tracking

The Activate GPS tracking article (updated 26 December 2025) says tracking needs Time Tracking switched on and at least one Travel activity set up by the administrator; the technician then enables Tracking in the app menu and starts a Travel activity, the device asks for GPS permission the first time, and background data must stay on for tracking to continue while the app is in the background. The Play listing warns that continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life. Time Tracking (Mobile) adds clock in and clock out from the Start button or the clock icon. No location accuracy figure is published. Source: support.synchroteam.com

  • Windows: the back office in a browser; no Windows mobile app

Synchroteam describes itself as web-based scheduling and dispatching with mobile clients for Android and iOS only, and the help centre's mobile articles refer to Android and iPhone. The job report PDF article notes that on Android the PDF lands in the browser's download area. The vendor publishes no supported browser list or Windows requirement that we could find, so a Windows device runs the web application for scheduling, dispatch, reporting and administration, and nothing the vendor documents for the mobile app (offline mode, camera capture, in-app payments, GPS travel tracking) is documented for a browser. Devices

Which Tuga device fits Synchroteam

Picked on the published requirements above and nothing else.

Our pick

Tuga A10 £449

The published Android floor is 12, and the vendor has raised it once already (an earlier copy of the same article said 8), so headroom above the minimum is worth paying for on a device you plan to keep for years. The Tuga A10 runs Android 14 with Google Play, two versions clear, and carries 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, which the vendor does not set a figure for but which leaves room for the onboard database the offline mode depends on, job photos and PDF reports. The 10.1 inch 1920 x 1200 screen gives a customer room to sign and a technician room for a long job report or a parts list without scrolling, and the 13MP rear camera with flash is the documented path for photos and barcode capture. It is sealed to IP68 and tested to MIL-STD-810H, with a 350 nit screen, dual SIM 4G so the app syncs between sites, GPS for travel tracking and a pogo pin connector for the charging dock. The trade-offs: at 680g it is a two-handed device, its 8000mAh battery is not listed as removable, and the vendor publishes nothing about Android tablet layouts, so run one unit through a real job report before you order six. At £449 it is £70 more than the A8.

  • Requirement: Android 12 or later from Google Play. Tuga A10: Android 14 with Google Play, two versions above the floor.
  • Requirement: an onboard database for offline working, photos and PDFs held on the device. Tuga A10: 8GB RAM, 128GB storage, microSD up to 2TB.
  • Requirement: GPS permission for travel tracking. Tuga A10: GPS, Galileo, BeiDou, QZSS and NavIC.
  • Requirement: sync when coverage returns, card payments at the point of use. Tuga A10: 4G dual SIM, dual-band Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.2.
  • Requirement: camera for photos, scans and barcode capture; a signature on screen. Tuga A10: 13MP rear camera with flash, 10.1 inch FHD IPS 1920 x 1200 with tempered glass; the capacitive stylus fits it.
  • Requirement: a device that survives plant rooms, roofs and vans. Tuga A10: IP68, MIL-STD-810H, -20 to 60C operating temperature, 8000mAh battery with quick charge, pogo pin connector for the charging dock and the vehicle mounting dock.
Alternative

Tuga A8 £379

The Tuga A8 runs Android 12, which meets the published minimum exactly with no headroom. That makes it the right choice only if you accept checking the vendor's requirement again before each renewal, because a move to Android 13 would leave it behind. What it gives in return is the better field tablet for a technician who works outdoors and from a van: a 1000 nit screen readable in sun, a removable 8000mAh battery so a charged spare takes over, VESA mount points and pogo pin contacts for the vehicle mounting dock, dual SIM 4G, GPS and a 13MP autofocus rear camera with flash. The 8 inch 1280 x 800 screen is enough for the job report and a signature, and at £379 it is the cheapest of the three tablets. It is IP67 with no MIL-STD rating listed.

  • Requirement: Android 12 or later from Google Play. Tuga A8: Android 12 with Google Play, the minimum exactly.
  • Requirement: offline database, photos and PDFs on the device. Tuga A8: 6GB RAM, 128GB storage, microSD slot.
  • Requirement: GPS for travel tracking. Tuga A8: GPS, GLONASS, Galileo and BeiDou.
  • Requirement: sync and in-app payments when in coverage. Tuga A8: 4G LTE dual SIM, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth.
  • Requirement: camera capture and a signature on screen. Tuga A8: 13MP autofocus rear camera with flash, 8 inch IPS 1280 x 800 at 1000 nits with AGC glass.
  • Requirement: a device that lives in the van. Tuga A8: VESA mount points, pogo pin dock connector, removable 8000mAh battery, IP67.
Alternative

Tuga A6 £349

The Tuga A6 is the pocket option and the closest in shape to the phone the vendor's wording assumes (the Play listing says Synchroteam uses your GPS in your phone). It runs Android 15 with Google Play, three versions above the floor, weighs 277g, is sealed to IP67 and rated for 1.5 metre drops, and has dual SIM 4G, GPS, NFC and a removable 5050mAh battery. It has a built-in Zebra 2D scan engine with two side scan keys, but Synchroteam documents barcode capture through the job report and not a hardware scanner, so plan on the 13MP camera unless your own trial shows otherwise. The trade-offs are the 6 inch screen, which makes a long job report and a customer signature more cramped than on a tablet, 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage with microSD up to 256GB. At £349 it is the cheapest device in the range.

  • Requirement: Android 12 or later from Google Play. Tuga A6: Android 15 with Google Play.
  • Requirement: GPS for travel tracking. Tuga A6: GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou and Galileo.
  • Requirement: sync when in coverage. Tuga A6: 4G LTE dual SIM, dual-band Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.1.
  • Requirement: camera capture and signatures. Tuga A6: 13MP rear camera with flash on a 6 inch FHD+ 2160 x 1080 screen; the stylus is not listed for the A6, so signatures are by finger.
  • Requirement: a device carried all day. Tuga A6: 277g, IP67, 1.5 metre drop rating, -20 to 50C, removable 5050mAh battery, belt holster and car phone mount available.
Alternative

Tuga W10 £649

Synchroteam has no Windows mobile app, so the Tuga W10 is for the office side of the system: a dispatcher or supervisor who wants the web-based scheduling, dispatch, mapping and reporting on a rugged 10.1 inch Windows 11 Pro tablet that can go to site, plug into a network through its RJ45 Ethernet port or drive a screen through HDMI, and sit in the charging dock between times. It runs an Intel N100 with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, has NFC and a removable 5000mAh battery, and 4G is optional rather than standard. It is IP65, so rated for water jets but not immersion, and lists no drop rating. None of the documented mobile app behaviour (offline database, camera capture into the job report, in-app Stripe payments, GPS travel tracking) is documented for a browser, so a technician should carry an Android device. At £649 it is £200 more than the A10.

  • Requirement: the back office in a browser. Tuga W10: Windows 11 Pro on an Intel N100, 8GB RAM, 128GB storage, 10.1 inch IPS 1280 x 800.
  • Requirement: a wired or wireless connection in a site office. Tuga W10: 100Mbps RJ45 Ethernet, dual-band Wi-Fi 5, optional 4G LTE.
  • Requirement: a shared office device that is charged for the next shift. Tuga W10: pogo pin dock connector for the charging dock, removable 5000mAh battery.
  • Not met: the Android mobile app, offline mode, camera capture into the job report and GPS travel tracking, which the vendor documents for Android and iOS only.
Worth knowing. The Tuga W10 is not recommended as a technician's device for Synchroteam. The vendor publishes its mobile app for Android and iOS only and documents offline mode, camera capture, in-app payments and GPS travel tracking for the mobile app, not for a browser, so a W10 can only run the web-based back office. On the Android side, the Tuga A8 meets the Android 12 floor exactly with no headroom, and the vendor has raised that floor once already, so check the requirement again before buying A8s for a team or at each renewal. No Tuga device is documented by Synchroteam as a supported model; the match on this page is between the vendor's published requirements and the catalogue's published specs.
Setting up

Getting Synchroteam running

  1. Ask your Synchroteam administrator for your company domain (the first part of your Synchroteam web address, so acorp for acorp.synchroteam.com), your username and your password; the administrator sets all three in the back office.
  2. On the Tuga A10, A8 or A6, open Google Play and install Synchroteam (package com.synchroteam.synchroteam3, developer SYNCHROTEAM). In the Play Store app, open the app's page, tap More and tick Auto-update so the client keeps pace with the server.
  3. Open the app, enter the domain, username and password, and press Login. Use one device per mobile worker login: a second device logging in with the same credentials takes over the account and the first stops synchronising.
  4. Grant the camera permission when the job report first asks for it, and GPS permission when you first enable Tracking in the menu and start a Travel activity; leave background data on if your firm uses travel tracking.
  5. If your firm manages parts from the van, open Inventory in the menu to check your own stock, then restock, request or return parts against a depot; serialised parts are tracked by serial number.
  6. Run one complete job offline as a test: start the job, fill in the report with a photo, a signature and a barcode, preview it, then reconnect and confirm it synced to the back office and the PDF is in the device's download area.

Questions

Synchroteam on a Tuga device

Synchroteam's help centre publishes one Android requirement, Android 12 or later, with the app installed from Google Play. The Tuga A10 runs Android 14, the A6 Android 15 and the A8 Android 12, all with Google Play, so each meets the published floor; the A8 meets it exactly. The vendor publishes no RAM, storage or screen size requirement and nothing about Android tablet layouts, and we have not tested the app on these devices, so start the free 14-day trial on one unit and run a real job report through it before buying for a team.

The vendor says the app keeps an onboard database and switches to offline mode automatically when the network drops, then syncs when coverage returns. It publishes no storage figure for that database. Every Tuga Android device has 64GB or more and a microSD slot, and dual SIM 4G means a second network can be tried where the first has no signal. Card payments through Stripe in the app need a live connection at the point of use.

Not under one login. Synchroteam's pricing page says a mobile worker licence includes access from one device, and its help centre explains that a second device logging in with the same credentials takes over the account and the first can no longer sync, with a reset procedure that wipes unsynced data. Give each technician their own login, or plan a shared device around one login at a time and a sync before handover.

The vendor says job reports can capture barcodes, and its inventory articles track serialised parts, but it documents no hardware scan engine or external scanner, only capture inside the report. On any Tuga device the documented route is the camera, and the A6, A8 and A10 all have a 13MP rear camera with a flash for dim stockrooms. The A6's built-in Zebra 2D scan engine is not a documented Synchroteam input, so treat it as a bonus to test on the trial rather than a reason to buy.

The back office is web-based, so any browser will do, and most firms use whatever desktop they already have. If the planner needs to take the schedule to site, the Tuga W10 runs Windows 11 Pro with RJ45 Ethernet and HDMI and sits in the charging dock; it does not run the mobile app, so technicians still need an Android device. Business buyers can ask for a quote and a proforma invoice, and every order gets free UK delivery in 7 to 10 working days, a 12-month warranty and 30-day returns, with no VAT to add; team discounts apply automatically from two devices (3%), 3 to 4 (5%), 5 to 9 (8%) and 10 or more (10%).
