Free UK delivery/Business quotes and proforma invoices/12-month warranty/30-day returns

On the floor or on site, a technician opens the mobile app, runs a pre-use check or scheduled inspection, scans a QR code or barcode with the app's built-in scanner to pull up an asset, photographs defects, raises actions and carries on without signal. The vendor documents offline use of inspections, assets, actions, documents and schedules in the mobile app, with automatic sync when the device is back online. That is a job for a device with an ingress protection rating and a wide operating temperature range rather than a consumer tablet: the Tuga A10 and A6 are rated IP68 and MIL-STD-810H and operate from -20 to 60C.

This page sets out what the vendor publishes about devices for Mitti, which Tuga device fits the Android app, where the Windows W10 does and does not fit, how to get the app running, and the commercial terms for UK business buyers.

Requirements

What SafetyCulture (now Mitti by SafetyCulture, formerly iAuditor) needs from a device

Each item below comes from SafetyCulture (now Mitti)'s own listing or documentation, with the source linked.

  • Android version and RAM

The vendor's supported devices article states a minimum of Android 10.0 with 4GB RAM or more for phones and tablets. It recommends Android 16.0 or above on tablets equivalent to a Galaxy Tab S9 or A9 or better, and app version 26.32 or later. Chrome OS is not supported. Source: help.mitti.com

  • Android app availability

The app is listed on Google Play as Mitti (by SafetyCulture), developer SafetyCulture, package com.safetyculture.iauditor, updated 4 October 2026, with 1m+ downloads and a PEGI 3 rating. The listing does not display a Requires Android value, so the minimum version above comes from the vendor help centre. The vendor also publishes a direct APK (help article 000095) for devices that cannot reach Google Play. Source: play.google.com

  • Offline use

Offline is supported in the mobile app only. Offline features are Actions, Assets, Documents, Inspections, Issues, Reports, Schedule and Training. Analytics, Heads Up, Lone Worker, Supply, Notifications, Library, Sensors and the Template Editor are not available offline. The app syncs automatically when back online, with a manual sync option, and the vendor advises checking sync status before going offline. Source: help.mitti.com

  • Barcode and QR scanning

Barcode and QR code scanner questions are answered with the app's built-in scanner, and the vendor states that barcodes can only be scanned via the mobile app. It reads QR codes and the 1D and 2D barcodes EAN-13/UPC-A, UPC-E, EAN-8, Code 128, Code 39 and Interleaved 2 of 5. The article does not mention external or Bluetooth barcode scanners. Source: help.mitti.com

  • RFID asset creation

Assets can be created from RFID tags in the Android mobile app using a Zebra RFID scanner connected over Bluetooth. The vendor requires mobile app 25.24 or higher, Android 8 or above, the Assets: Manage permission, a full seat and the device online. Specific Zebra models are not named, and the article does not mention NFC. Source: help.mitti.com

  • Bluetooth instrument readings

Inspections can capture readings from supported Bluetooth thermometers, pH meters, paint thickness gauges and oil quality testers. This is a mobile app feature and requires a Premium or Enterprise plan. Source: help.mitti.com

  • Windows support

There is no native Windows app. The vendor's FAQ states that as of 14 July 2022 the Mitti Windows app ceased to function and recommends the web app or an Android or iOS device. The same FAQ states that offline access is unsupported on the web app, which requires a consistent internet connection. The vendor's browser article lists Windows among the web app's operating systems and recommends Chrome, Firefox, Safari or Edge (help article 002418). Source: help.mitti.com

  • Devices per user

The mobile app can be logged in on up to three mobile devices at once, and device limits are specific to each organisation, which matters when a team shares a pool of tablets. Source: help.mitti.com

Devices

Which Tuga device fits SafetyCulture (now Mitti by SafetyCulture, formerly iAuditor)

Picked on the published requirements above and nothing else.

Our pick

Tuga A10 £449

Mitti's technician features (offline inspections, barcode and QR scanning, RFID asset creation, Bluetooth instrument readings) are mobile app features, and the Android app is the route the vendor documents for them. The Tuga A10 runs Android 14 with 8GB RAM, which meets the published minimum of Android 10.0 and 4GB. It does not meet the vendor's recommended tier of Android 16.0 on Galaxy Tab S9 or A9 class hardware, so expect the app to run within the supported range rather than at the recommended specification. The A10 gives a 10.1 inch screen for checklists and photos, IP68 and MIL-STD-810H ratings for the shop floor and site, 4G dual SIM for sync away from Wi-Fi, and a pogo pin connector for a charging or vehicle dock. It is the device an industrial asset-management firm has already bought from us for maintenance technicians at an aerospace manufacturer, running a different maintenance app.

  • Vendor minimum Android 10.0 (help article 000088): the A10 runs Android 14.
  • Vendor minimum 4GB RAM or more: the A10 has 8GB RAM, 128GB storage and microSD up to 2TB for offline inspection data and photos.
  • Barcode and QR scanning through the app's built-in scanner, mobile app only (help article 000069): the A10 has a 13MP rear camera with flash. The A10 has no dedicated scan engine, so in-app scanning depends on the app using the camera.
  • RFID asset creation uses a Zebra RFID scanner over Bluetooth (help article 005535): the A10 has Bluetooth 5.2.
  • Offline inspections with automatic sync when back online (help article 002907): the A10 has 4G dual SIM, dual-band Wi-Fi 5 and an 8000mAh battery, with an operating range of -20 to 60C.
Alternative

Tuga A6 £299

The Tuga A6 is the pick when technicians need a handheld that fits a pocket or belt holster, works in a 5G area, or needs a higher resolution camera for photographing defects in poor light. It runs Android 14 with 12GB RAM, so it meets the vendor's minimum of Android 10.0 and 4GB, and like the A10 it does not meet the recommended Android 16.0 tier. The vendor publishes no screen-size guidance for the app and groups devices only as phones or tablets by model, so the choice between a 6.78 inch handheld and a 10.1 inch tablet is about how your team works, not about the published requirement. IP68 plus IP69K, MIL-STD-810H, glove mode and a 10600mAh battery with 33W fast charge suit long shifts outdoors.

  • Vendor minimum Android 10.0: the A6 runs Android 14.
  • Vendor minimum 4GB RAM: the A6 has 12GB RAM and 256GB storage, with microSD up to 2TB.
  • Barcode and QR scanning through the app's built-in scanner in the mobile app: the A6 has a 50MP main camera and a 64MP night-vision camera (in-app scanning is app-dependent, no dedicated scan engine).
  • Automatic sync when back online, Wi-Fi only or Wi-Fi and cellular (help article 000034): the A6 has 5G, Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 5.2 for a Zebra RFID reader.
  • Handheld form for technicians on the move: 6.78 inch FHD+ 120Hz screen at 560 nits, 441g, Gorilla Glass 5, glove mode, fingerprint and face unlock.
Alternative

Tuga W10 £649

The Tuga W10 is not a technician device for Mitti. The vendor has no native Windows app and documents the Windows route as the web app in Chrome, Firefox, Safari or Edge, with no offline access. Barcode and QR scanning, Bluetooth instrument readings and RFID asset creation are documented for the mobile app only. Where the W10 fits is as a docked or office unit for web app work: creating asset profile QR codes (help article 002882), building templates and adding scanner questions (help article 000069), and the modules the vendor lists as unavailable offline, such as Analytics and the Template Editor (help article 002907), over Ethernet or Wi-Fi in a plant room or workshop. Buy it for that, not for inspections on the floor.

  • Web app on Windows in Chrome, Firefox, Safari or Edge (help article 002418): the W10 runs Windows 11 Pro on an Intel N100 with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage.
  • Web app requires a consistent internet connection (help article 000094): the W10 has 100Mbps RJ45 Ethernet and dual-band Wi-Fi 5, with optional 4G LTE.
  • Web app tasks such as creating asset profile QR codes and building templates (help articles 002882 and 000069): 10.1 inch IPS 1280 x 800 multi-touch display and HDMI out for a larger monitor at a desk or dock.
  • Workshop or plant room use: IP65 (dust tight and protected against water jets, not rated for immersion), removable 5000mAh battery, pogo pin dock connector for the £49.99 charging dock.
Setting up

Getting SafetyCulture (now Mitti by SafetyCulture, formerly iAuditor) running

  1. Create a Mitti account at mitti.com or use your organisation's existing one. The Free plan covers teams of up to 10 with 5 active inspection templates; Premium is priced per seat per month and Enterprise is custom priced. Prices on the vendor's pricing page are shown in dollars, and we found no GBP price list.
  2. On the Tuga A10 or A6, install Mitti (by SafetyCulture) from Google Play (package com.safetyculture.iauditor). If the device cannot reach Google Play, the vendor publishes a direct APK in help article 000095; Android will ask you to allow installs from unknown sources.
  3. Sign in with the technician's seat. The mobile app can be logged in on up to three mobile devices at once per organisation (help article 000058), so plan device allocation for shared pools.
  4. Review the app's syncing settings before the first shift (help article 000034): offline inspections are on by default, and you can set the sync interval, Wi-Fi only or Wi-Fi and cellular, offline assets, offline schedules and the inspection storage limit (default one week). Check sync status before going offline.
  5. If you create assets from RFID tags, pair a Zebra RFID scanner to the tablet over Bluetooth. The vendor requires app 25.24 or higher, Android 8 or above, the Assets: Manage permission and an online device for this workflow (help article 005535).
  6. Fit the A10 to a £49.99 charging dock at the workshop or a £109 vehicle mounting dock in the van, both using the pogo pin connector. A hand strap is included in the A10 box; the A6 takes the £22 belt holster.

Questions

SafetyCulture (now Mitti by SafetyCulture, formerly iAuditor) on a Tuga device

The vendor's supported devices article requires Android 10.0 or above with 4GB RAM or more. The Tuga A10 runs Android 14 with 8GB RAM, so it meets that requirement. The vendor recommends Android 16.0 on Galaxy Tab S9 or A9 class tablets for the best experience, and the A10 does not reach that recommended tier. The app on Google Play is Mitti (by SafetyCulture), package com.safetyculture.iauditor.

Yes, in the mobile app. The vendor lists Actions, Assets, Documents, Inspections, Issues, Reports, Schedule and Training as available offline, with automatic sync when the device is back online and a manual sync option. Analytics, Heads Up, the Template Editor and some other modules need a connection. The web app, which is the only route on the Windows W10, has no offline access.

Yes to both. A single trial unit before a fleet order is welcome, with 30-day returns and a 12-month warranty. Business buyers can request a quote and pay by bank transfer on a proforma invoice. Tuga Hardware is not VAT registered, so there is no VAT to add to the £449 A10, £299 A6 or £649 W10. Multi-unit discounts apply automatically: 3% at 2 units, 5% at 3 to 4, 8% at 5 to 9 and 10% at 10 or more. Delivery is free to UK addresses in 7 to 10 working days; we deliver to the UK only.

The vendor publishes no screen-size guidance and groups devices only as phones or tablets by model, so both meet the same Android 10.0 and 4GB minimum. Choose the A10 (10.1 inch FHD, 680g, 4G, pogo pin for a dock) where technicians fill in long checklists, review photos and work from a van or workstation dock. Choose the A6 (6.78 inch FHD+, 441g, 5G, 50MP main camera, IP69K, glove mode) where they need a pocketable handheld for walk-round checks and QR scanning across a large site.

There is no native Windows app; the vendor's FAQ says the Windows app ceased to function on 14 July 2022 and points Windows users to the web app, which its browser article supports in Chrome, Firefox, Safari or Edge. The web app has no offline access, and the vendor states barcodes can only be scanned via the mobile app. The W10 therefore suits office or dock-based web app work such as template building, asset QR code creation and analytics over its RJ45 Ethernet or Wi-Fi, not inspections on the floor.

Trial one unit before you kit out the team.

Order a single Tuga A10 at £449, no VAT to add, with 30 days to send it back if it is not right. Business quotes and proforma invoices on request.
