Free UK delivery/Business quotes and proforma invoices/12-month warranty/30-day returns

The mobile app is where site work happens. The vendor's Google Play listing says job sheets can be assigned from the admin system or the app, that photos and signatures can be attached to jobs, that quotes and invoices can be created on the move, and that a tracker shows the office how staff are progressing on location. The vendor's mobile app page says the app works offline, saving to the device and uploading when the worker is next online, and that it can be installed on a team's phones or tablets. Its Sage Marketplace listing adds digital documents such as gas certificates and EICRs, questionnaires completed on a job, stock checks and picking lists, and a barcode scanner that finds an asset straight from the camera. That is a device that rides in a van, goes into plant rooms and roof spaces, and gets handed to a customer to sign, which is where a consumer tablet tends to fail early.

This page sets out what Eworks Manager publishes about the devices its app runs on, which Tuga rugged tablets meet those published requirements, where the Windows option fits and where it does not, and how a UK contractor can buy a single trial unit before committing to a fleet.

Requirements

What Eworks Manager needs from a device

Each item below comes from Eworks Manager Limited's own listing or documentation, with the source linked.

  • Android 7.0 or later, from the Google Play listing

The vendor publishes no system requirements page. The only published Android figure is in the Google Play listing for the Eworks app (package com.eworksmanager.ewm3, developer Eworks Manager Limited), which when checked on 19 October 2026 showed version 5.0.16, updated 20 September 2026, with a minimum API level of 24 (Android 7.0) and a target API level of 36. The listing is free, rated PEGI 3, is marked as sharing location, and its data safety section lists location and photos and videos among the data collected. No RAM or storage figure is published anywhere by the vendor. For context, the App Store listing requires iOS 15.6 or iPadOS 15.6 or later. Source: play.google.com

  • Android app installed on phones or tablets

The vendor's mobile app page says the app is free to download from the Apple App Store and Google Play, that you search for Eworks Manager, install it on your team's phones or tablets, and log in with existing Eworks details. The App Store version is described as designed for iPad, so a tablet layout is one the vendor publishes for. The vendor gives no screen size guidance and no list of supported tablet models. Source: eworksmanager.co.uk

  • Offline working, saving to the device and uploading when back online

The vendor's mobile app FAQ says the app even works offline, saving to the device and uploading when workers are next online. Its mobile documents page repeats this and says to use the mobile workforce app anywhere with offline mode. The vendor does not publish how much data is cached on the device, how long jobs take to arrive, or any limit on what can be done without signal, and its Mobile App Policy says personal data may be stored on the device in application data caches. Source: eworksmanager.co.uk

  • Digital job sheets, certificates, questionnaires, photos and customer signatures

The Google Play description says photos and signatures can be attached to jobs and that job sheets can be assigned to projects from the admin system or the app. The vendor's site describes digital job sheets, checklists and sign-offs completed on site, with electrical safety certificates and gas safety certificates stored in one place, and says photos, videos and customer signatures give workers proof of what they did and when. The Sage Marketplace listing names gas certificates, EICR and fire detection and alarm certificates as digital documents, and says questionnaires can be set for the Eworks app while on a job. The vendor publishes no requirement for a stylus or a minimum screen size for signing. Source: us-marketplace.sage.com

  • Asset barcode scanning through the camera

The Sage Marketplace listing says that with the barcode scanner you can search for your assets straight from the camera on your mobile devices, and that scanning an asset's barcode opens that asset so an operative can update its status, add notes or change its location. The vendor's facilities management page says you can barcode and locate your assets using the system. No support for a dedicated hardware scan engine, an external scanner or NFC tags is documented, so on any device the scan path the vendor describes is the camera. The vendor does not publish which barcode or QR formats are read. Source: eworksmanager.co.uk

  • Location tracking from the app, with permission

The vendor's Mobile App Policy says the app uses location tracking for the functions that require it, that users consent to it for those functions only, and that location data can be turned off in device settings. The real-time tracking page says the office can see where every field worker is in real time and that tracking can be turned off outside working hours. The Google Play listing is marked as sharing location. No GNSS accuracy or location hardware requirement is published. Source: eworksmanager.co.uk

  • Windows: no Windows app, web-based admin system in a browser

The vendor publishes no Windows app and its Mobile App Policy describes the app as hosted on the Google Play store and Apple store only. The product's two parts are described in its Sage Marketplace listing as a web-based admin system and a mobile app, and the vendor's own site calls it cloud-based software. No supported browser list, browser versions or desktop operating system requirements are published. Source: ca-marketplace.sage.com

Devices

Which Tuga device fits Eworks Manager

Picked on the published requirements above and nothing else.

Our pick

Tuga A10 £449

Eworks Manager's field features (job sheets, certificates, questionnaires, photos, signatures, camera asset scanning and offline working) live in the Android app, so the device a field worker carries needs to run that app well rather than a browser. The Tuga A10 runs Android 14 against a published minimum of Android 7.0 (API level 24), so it clears the only device figure the vendor publishes by seven major versions. The vendor publishes no RAM or storage figure, and the A10's 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage leave room for the offline cache the app keeps on the device. Gas and electrical certificates run to several pages, and the 10.1 inch 1920 x 1200 screen shows more of each page at once than the 8 or 6 inch options, which also helps when a customer signs on screen. The IP68 and MIL-STD-810H ratings cover rain on a roof, dust in a plant room and knocks in a van, and the 13MP rear camera with flash is the scan and photo path the vendor documents. It fits both the charging dock and the vehicle mounting dock.

  • Requirement: Android 7.0 or later from Google Play. Tuga A10: Android 14 with Google Play, so the published requirement is met.
  • Requirement: no RAM or storage figure is published, but the app caches data for offline working. Tuga A10: 8GB RAM and 128GB storage, with microSD up to 2TB.
  • Requirement: asset barcode scanning through the camera, and photos attached to jobs. Tuga A10: 13MP rear camera with flash (scanning is through the camera via the app; there is no dedicated scan engine).
  • Requirement: multi-page certificates and customer signatures on screen. Tuga A10: 10.1 inch FHD IPS 1920 x 1200 at 350 nits with tempered glass; the capacitive stylus accessory fits it.
  • Requirement: a device that keeps working on site and in the van, online or offline, with location tracking. Tuga A10: IP68, MIL-STD-810H, operating temperature -20 to 60C, 8000mAh battery with quick charge, dual SIM 4G and GPS + Galileo + BeiDou + QZSS + NavIC.
Alternative

Tuga A8 £379

The Tuga A8 is the closer call. It runs the same Eworks app on an 8 inch screen that is big enough for job sheets and questionnaires without the size of the A10, and small enough to hold in one hand in a loft. It runs Android 12 with Google Play, above the Android 7.0 minimum, with 6GB of RAM against no published figure. Its 1000 nit screen suits workers who spend much of the day outside, the 8000mAh battery is removable for long days, and VESA mount points and a pogo pin connector suit a van fit. Against the A10 it is sealed to IP67 rather than IP68, has no MIL-STD rating, a lower 1280 x 800 resolution, and does not fit the charging dock. At £379 it costs £70 less than the A10.

  • Requirement: Android 7.0 or later from Google Play. Tuga A8: Android 12 with Google Play, so the published requirement is met.
  • Requirement: no RAM or storage figure is published. Tuga A8: 6GB RAM and 128GB storage with a microSD slot.
  • Requirement: camera asset barcode scanning and photo capture. Tuga A8: 13MP autofocus rear camera with flash (scanning is through the camera via the app; there is no dedicated scan engine).
  • Requirement: readable job sheets outdoors. Tuga A8: 8 inch IPS 1280 x 800 at 1000 nits with AGC glass.
  • Requirement: a device for long days between van and site with location tracking on. Tuga A8: removable 8000mAh battery, IP67 with no MIL-STD rating, VESA mount points, pogo pin dock connector, dual SIM 4G and GPS + GLONASS + Galileo + BeiDou.
Alternative

Tuga A6 £349

For workers who want something that goes in a pocket or a belt holster at 277g, the Tuga A6 runs the same Eworks app on a 6 inch handheld, and the vendor's own wording is that field workers get job details on their phones, so a phone-sized layout is the one it describes most. It runs Android 15, well above the Android 7.0 minimum, with 4GB of RAM against no published figure. It has a Zebra 2D scan engine, but the vendor documents camera scanning only, so plan on the 13MP rear camera for assets. The trade-off is screen area: a 6 inch display shows less of a certificate or a signature box than the larger tablets, so a trial unit is worth running if your team signs off long documents on site.

  • Requirement: Android 7.0 or later from Google Play. Tuga A6: Android 15 with Google Play.
  • Requirement: no RAM or storage figure is published. Tuga A6: 4GB RAM and 64GB storage with microSD up to 256GB.
  • Requirement: camera asset barcode scanning and photo capture. Tuga A6: 13MP rear camera with flash (scanning through the camera via the app; the Zebra 2D scan engine is not a documented Eworks Manager input).
  • Requirement: a device that survives site use and drops. Tuga A6: IP67, 1.5 metre drop rating, operating temperature -20 to 50C, 277g.
  • Requirement: connectivity and location for real-time tracking. Tuga A6: 4G LTE dual SIM, dual-band Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS + GLONASS + BeiDou + Galileo, removable 5050mAh battery.
Alternative

Tuga W10 £649

Eworks Manager has no Windows app; its Mobile App Policy describes the app as hosted on Google Play and the Apple store only. The Tuga W10 runs Windows 11 Pro, so it can run the web-based admin system in a current desktop browser, which is where scheduling, quoting, invoicing and reporting happen. That makes it a fit for a scheduler's desk, a site office or a workshop counter, and it has Ethernet and HDMI for a fixed position. It is not the device for a field worker: the offline working, camera asset scanning, photos and signatures the vendor documents are in the mobile app, which does not run on Windows, and the W10 is IP65 rather than IP68, so it is protected against water jets but not rated for immersion. The vendor publishes no browser list, so check the admin system in Edge or Chrome on a trial unit first.

  • Requirement: a web-based admin system in a browser (no browser list published). Tuga W10: Windows 11 Pro running standard desktop browsers.
  • Requirement: office scheduling, quoting, invoicing and reporting in the admin system. Tuga W10: Intel N100 up to 3.4GHz, 8GB RAM, 128GB storage, 10.1 inch 1280 x 800 multi-touch screen.
  • Requirement: a fixed position in a site office or workshop. Tuga W10: 100Mbps RJ45 Ethernet, HDMI, USB-A, USB-C, pogo pin dock connector, removable 5000mAh battery; fits the charging dock.
  • Requirement: dust and splash protection. Tuga W10: IP65 (dust tight, protected against water jets, not rated for immersion), 1197g.
Worth knowing. Eworks Manager has no Windows app, so the Tuga W10 only runs the web-based admin system in a browser. The field features the vendor documents (offline working, camera asset scanning, photos, signatures, job sheets and certificates) are in the mobile app, so a W10 suits an office or workshop desk, not a worker on site. On the Android side, the only scan method the vendor documents is the camera, with no dedicated scan engine, external scanner or NFC support published, so the A6's Zebra 2D scan engine and the NFC radio on the A10, A8 and A6 should not be treated as Eworks Manager features. The vendor publishes no system requirements page, no RAM or storage figure, no screen size guidance and no browser list; the Android 7.0 minimum on this page comes from the Google Play listing alone. Its real-time tracking is described from the office side only; it does not publish what location accuracy it needs from a device.
Setting up

Getting Eworks Manager running

  1. Ask your Eworks Manager administrator to set the field worker up as a user in your Eworks account, and to allocate the digital documents, questionnaires and asset registers your team will use on site.
  2. On the Tuga A10, A8 or A6, open Google Play, search for Eworks Manager and install the Eworks app (package com.eworksmanager.ewm3, developer Eworks Manager Limited), then sign in with the worker's Eworks details.
  3. Allow camera and location access when prompted. The camera is the documented path for asset barcode scanning and job photos, and the vendor's Mobile App Policy says location tracking is used only for the functions that need it and can be turned off in device settings.
  4. Before the first job without signal, keep the device online long enough for the worker's jobs to sync. The vendor says the app saves to the device offline and uploads when next online, but publishes no figure for how much is cached, so test a job end to end offline before relying on it.
  5. Test a complete job on one device: open a job sheet, scan an asset barcode that is already in your asset register, attach a photo, complete a questionnaire or certificate, and capture a customer signature, then confirm it all arrives in the admin system.
  6. On a Tuga W10, open the Eworks admin system in Edge or Chrome and keep the browser updated. Use it for office work; it will not run the mobile app.
  7. Fit the tempered glass screen protector before the device goes out. For the A10 and A8, add the vehicle mounting dock in the van; for the A10 and W10, add the charging dock where devices live overnight; for the A6, add the belt holster.
  8. Roll out to the rest of the team only after the trial device has completed real jobs for a week, including at least one site with no signal.

Questions

Eworks Manager on a Tuga device

The vendor publishes no system requirements page, so the only published device figure is the Google Play listing's minimum API level of 24 (Android 7.0). The Tuga A10 runs Android 14 with Google Play and has 8GB RAM and 128GB storage, so it meets that figure. The Tuga A8 (Android 12, 6GB RAM) and Tuga A6 (Android 15, 4GB RAM) also meet it. We do not describe any device as certified or tested by Eworks Manager; these are the vendor's published requirements set against the device specifications.

The vendor's mobile app FAQ says the app works offline, saving to the device and uploading when workers are next online. It does not publish how much is cached, how long new jobs take to reach a device or what cannot be done offline, so run a test job without signal before relying on it. The A10, A8 and A6 all run the Google Play app. A Tuga W10 can only use the web-based admin system in a browser, and the vendor does not document offline working there.

The vendor's Sage Marketplace listing says the barcode scanner finds an asset straight from the camera on a mobile device, and that scanning opens the asset so its status, notes or location can be updated. The A10, A8 and A6 all have a 13MP rear camera with flash, and on each of them scanning runs through the camera via the app. The A6 also has a Zebra 2D scan engine, but the vendor documents no dedicated scan engine or external scanner support, so do not buy it for that reason alone.

Both meet the published Android requirement. The A10 has more RAM (8GB against 6GB), a sharper 1920 x 1200 screen for multi-page certificates and questionnaires, IP68 against IP67, and MIL-STD-810H, which the A8 does not have. The A8 has a 1000 nit screen against the A10's 350 nits, a removable battery, VESA mount points, and costs £379 against £449. Workers who mostly work outdoors or do long days away from a charger may prefer the A8; those filling in long documents or working in wetter, harder conditions are better served by the A10.

No. The vendor's mobile app page says the app can be installed on a team's phones or tablets, and the App Store version is described as designed for iPad, but it publishes no list of supported tablet models, no screen size guidance and no RAM or storage figure. That is why this page compares the Tuga devices against the one figure it does publish, the Android 7.0 minimum on Google Play, and recommends a single trial unit first.
